Why we built
ProtectMyMail.
Your inbox quietly stopped being yours. We think fixing that should not mean leaving the email you already use.
The problem we couldn't ignore
Your email is read — just not by you.
Email was never built to be private. Today your provider, its AI, trackers and attackers all get a look inside — before you even open the message. Most people have no idea how much of their inbox is no longer theirs.
Why nobody fixed it
The "secure" answer was always: leave your email, learn a new app, move your whole life across. So almost nobody did — and stayed exposed.
We watched friends and family care deeply about privacy, then give up the moment it meant a new address, lost history and a provider switch. Privacy shouldn't cost you everything you already built.
Our idea
Just make it private.
So we built ProtectMyMail as a browser plugin that sits on the inbox you already use — Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP account. No new address. No provider switch. No import. You add it once, and your mail becomes encrypted, and you can finally see who really wrote to you.
What we believe
The principles we build on.
You keep your address
Privacy shouldn't mean starting over. You stay on the email and provider you already use.
We can't read your mail
Messages are encrypted in your browser before they leave. No provider, no server, and not us, can read them.
Honest labels
We prove what can be proven — verified sender, encrypted, or unverified — and never dress up a guess as a fact.
Honest about limits
We're early Beta software. We tell you plainly what we do, what we don't yet do, and we make no promises we can't keep.
Who we are
A small team that got tired of being watched.
ProtectMyMail is built by ACAI Technology — a group of engineers and privacy people who believe the tools that protect you should be the easy ones to use, not the hard ones.
Where we are now
ProtectMyMail is in Beta, and we're building it in the open. It works and is in daily use, but it hasn't had an independent security audit yet, and some features — like malware scanning — are still on the way. We'd rather tell you that honestly than over-promise. Try it free for four weeks and help us shape it.
